Asian American Action Fund Endorses TJ Cox for Re-Election

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Asian American Action Fund (AAAFund) is proud to endorse and support Congressman TJ Cox in his bid for reelection. Cox currently represents the Central Valley, California’s 21st Congressional District.

“AAAFund is proud to endorse Rep. TJ Cox and congratulates him on his recent election to Congress. We believe that Rep. Cox’s representation and efforts to push for a growing voice for the AAPI community illustrates the diverse and vibrant 21st Congressional District of California,” said Irene Natividad, AAAFund Endorsements Co-Chair. “Rep. TJ Cox’s instrumental role in creating jobs and infrastructure for his community demonstrated his commitment to the Central Valley. We need strong champions like Congressman Cox fighting for us and advocating for the AAPI community.”

“I’m proud to have, once again, the support of the AAAFund,” said Congressman Cox. “There’s no substitute for representation, and as a Filipino and Chinese American, I strive every day to provide exceptional representation for the Central Valley, especially the Asian American and Pacific Islander community. Diversity makes us stronger and it’s my honor to stand up for the interests of the fastest growing group of Americans.”

AAAFund Board Member Glen Fukushima said, “We’re happy to endorse Rep. TJ Cox and look forward to his term in representing the AAPI community in California’s 21st Congressional District. We trust the Rep. Cox will push the envelope for minorities and their participation in local politics. As a child of AAPI immigrants and business owner, Rep. TJ Cox understands the importance of minorities and the agricultural industry in his district. AAAFund is looking forward to seeing more of Rep. Cox’s exceptional work on healthcare and education for his district.”

As the son of Chinese and Filipino immigrants, Rep. TJ Cox has a deep resolve in the fight for equality for AAPIs and other minorities, ensuring that a voice is given to those who need it the most. In the first six months of this Congress, Rep. TJ Cox introduced bold legislation to expand rural healthcare access, pushed a $10 million investment in research on Post-Traumatic Stress through the House, and voted on a pathway to citizenship for our DREAMers. A successful businessman, Rep.TJ Cox’s firsthand experience with the economy and agricultural industry has driven his work to help working families, small businesses, and the Central Valley’s agricultural industry thrive.
