WASHINGTON, DC — In response to the tragic mass shooting in Monterey Park, California, Albert Shen, National Chair of the Asian American Action Fund (AAAFund), released the following statement.

“We are heartbroken to hear about yet another mass shooting – this time in Monterey Park, a suburb known for its vibrant AAPI community. Lunar New Year should be a time of celebration for the AAPI community, and yet we are once again mourning the loss of family members, neighbors, and friends. The Asian American Action Fund sends our thoughts and prayers to the survivors and to the families and friends of those lost. But even more than that, we  pledge to continue our fight for comprehensive gun reform and for safer communities for all.”
