Join us for a Meet and Greet reception to meet Kai Kahele, candidate for Hawaii’s 2nd Congressional District on Tuesday, June 11th from 5pm -6:30 pm at Chinatown Garden at 618 H Street NW – see details below.
A graduate of Hilo High School and the University of Hawaii at Manoa, Kai is currently the Senate Majority Floor Leader in the Hawaii State Legislature. He is an 18 year veteran, pilot and commissioned officer in the Hawaii Air National Guard, U.S. Air Force, where he serves as a Major with the 201st Air Operations Group. He is also a commercial airline pilot for Hawaiian Airlines. Kai is the son of the late State Senator Gil Kahele, who urged him to carry on his work in public service. Former Hawaii Governors Neil Abercrombie, John Waihee, and Ben Cayetano all support Kai’s efforts to represent Hawaii for the 2nd Congressional District.
