A first-generation Korean American, Dave Min learned the importance of hard work, education, and economic opportunity from his parents, who immigrated to the U.S. in 1971. Dave Min was elected in 2020 to represent California’s 37th State Senate District in the heart of Orange County, defeating a longtime Republican incumbent and raising over $2.8 million.

A proven legislator, Dave has authored 16 bills which have been signed into law by the Governor, including leading legislation on gun violence prevention, women’s reproductive rights, hate crimes, and the largest state funded small business relief program in the country. In the wake of the 2021 Huntington Beach Oil Spill, he stood up to the oil industry and led efforts to end offshore drilling.
