AAAFund’s Impact in 2024
In the 2024 election cycle, 18 AAAFund-endorsed candidates won their races, proving that we make history when our communities organize, mobilize, and vote.
And this year, history was made in more ways than one. From the U.S. Senate to the House of Representatives, five of our endorsed candidates broke barriers and redefined what representation looks like in America:
Senator Andy Kim (NJ) shattered ceilings by becoming the first Korean American ever elected to the U.S. Senate, and the first Asian American senator on the East Coast.
Senator Angela Alsobrooks (MD) made history as the first Black woman elected to the U.S. Senate from Maryland.
Representative Derek Tran (CA-45) became the first Vietnamese American elected to represent the largest Vietnamese community outside Vietnam.
Representative Dave Min (CA-47) made history as the first Korean American Democratic member of Congress from California.
Representative Suhas Subramanyam (VA-10) made history as the first Indian American member of the U.S. House from Virginia.
These victories didn’t happen overnight. From raising over $150,000 to support candidates, to helping elect a record number of barrier-breaking leaders, the 2024 cycle shows that our collective action works—and it's just the beginning.
As we celebrate this moment, we remain committed to fighting for representation at every level of government. Thank you for standing with us, investing in our mission, and believing in the future we’re building together.
