Asian American Action Fund Reaffirms Support for President Biden in the Fight for the Preservation of Democracy

Washington, D.C. – Today, the Asian American Action Fund (AAAFund) reaffirms its unwavering support for President Biden’s re-election campaign.

 Despite recent debate challenges, we remain steadfast in our commitment to preserving and strengthening American democracy. President Biden has long been a champion of democratic values, civil rights, and inclusive governance. His dedication to these principles reflects his lifelong commitment to public service and the American people.

 Albert Shen, National Chair of the Asian American Action Fund, emphasizes the importance of unity and continued support for the President: “As we celebrate the Fourth of July – a time to reflect on the values of freedom and democracy – we must acknowledge how President Biden has been instrumental in guiding our nation through unprecedented challenges. His unwavering commitment to democracy, justice, and equality aligns with the core values of AAAFund.”

 AAAFund is acutely aware of the significant threats posed by Donald Trump and the MAGA movement to global democracy. If re-elected, Trump's divisive rhetoric and policies would be a direct threat to the AANHPI and other people of color, exacerbating anti-Asian hate and undermining the progress made in protecting civil liberties and environmental sustainability.

 "The stakes have never been higher," adds Shen. "Donald Trump’s return to the White House would undoubtedly lead to an increase in anti-Asian hate, other forms of discrimination, and an installation of a national abortion ban.   We must rally together to defeat this greater threat and ensure that our nation remains a beacon of hope, freedom, and justice for all."
