Congressman Shri Thanedar represents Michigan’s Thirteenth Congressional District, which includes much of Wayne County including the city of Detroit, Grosse Pointe, and Downriver.

Congressman Thanedar serves on the Committee on Homeland Security and Committee on Small Business. On the Committee on Homeland Security, he is the Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Transportation and Maritime Security, in addition to serving on the Subcommittees focusing on Border Security and Enforcement and Oversight, Investigations, and Accountability. On the Committee on Small Business, he serves on the Subcommittees focusing on Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Workforce Development and Contracting and Infrastructure.

Congressman Thanedar is an Executive Board Member of the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus.
